Green Truck Redesign

Project summary

Green Truck is an eco-conscious moving and storage company based in Mid-Tennessee. I freelanced with a Nashville-based marketing agency to restructure and optimize their Wordpress site for video-driven content and mobile use. The end goal was to provide a navigable way for visitors to request a moving quote across all platforms in a growing moving market.

Problem

Challenge

Challenge This site deserved a thorough overhaul. It lacked visual hierarchy and was rife with outdated features and repetitive, SEO driven content. It also failed to have coherent architecture as I found subpages hosted on separate urls during the inventory phase.

Phase 1 solution

Phase 1 solution

Phase 1 solution

UX Strategy Content strategy, responsive layout and video storytelling were the focus with the redesign. With 22 unique page layouts and eight unique forms, I had my work cut out for me. I was able to pare the site down to four major sections along with a secondary nav piece for newly introduced partner portals.

Phase 2 solution

Each “Moving Services” subpage covered multiple topics. Rather than introducing a third-level of navigation I added in-page navigation for guidance. I also began each subpage with a video introduction and shortened content areas to a list format to support readability and page flow.
